Dear visitors, <\/span><\/span><\/p>

The University of Ioannina, respecting the value of equal access to all its students in the educational process, has since May 2019 an Equal Access Unit for people with disabilities and people with special educational needs of the University of Ioannina. <\/span><\/span><\/p>

The main aim of the Service is the creation of a favorable environment within the University for supporting students that for medical or other social reasons face functional or educational issues that prevent them from completing their studies.<\/span><\/span><\/p>

This Service hopes to facilitate students with learning disabilities so that they can complete their studies timely and successfully. Also, targets to effectively resolve issues regarding their academic everyday life. Thus, there is a holistic and organized effort to reinforce the fullfillment of the academic, research and proffesional aims of students.<\/span><\/span><\/p>

In addition, the Unit of Equal Access for Persons with Disabilities and Persons with Special Educational Needs of the University of Ioannina aims to inform and raise awareness among all members of the academic community of our University as well as the residents of the city of Ioannina regarding the living conditions of students with disabilities. <\/span><\/span>and the ongoing challenges they face. <\/span><\/span><\/p>

The University's Rector's Office welcomes students with disabilities and will make every effort to provide them with a high level of academic studies, ensuring their active participation in university life. <\/span><\/span><\/p>
